I joined the Draper Lab as a DPhil student in the Department of Paediatrics in October 2026.
Together with Dr. Kirsty McHugh, I work mainly computationally, using machine learning to build a better understanding of monoclonal antibody responses to natural malaria infection as well as to vaccination. Alongside this, I work on designing and optimising new vaccine candidates using computational protein design.
Originally from Germany, I began my academic journey in Munich, where I studied for a BSc in Biochemistry at the Technical University of Munich. Just before coming to Oxford, I completed my MSc in Biotechnology at ETH Zurich, where I worked in the lab of Prof. Sai Reddy on de novo immunogen design using deep learning-based protein design tools.
